Description
An urn designed for water burial, the Journey Biodegradable Urn - Lily is popular for its earth friendly construction and its pretty lily design. Each Journey Biodegradable Urn has an envelope shape to contain cremated remains in a way that makes it easier to transport them to your preferred body of water and then set them adrift.
The Journey Biodegradable Urn - Lily is constructed of organic paper derived from the bark of mulberry trees and recycled cardboard. The resulting sturdy paper is a soft white color that is printed with the greenish blue lily design.
To use this urn, the funeral director places the cremated remains inside a water soluble bag (included) then inside the urn. A paper band is affixed that keeps the urn closed until the family is ready for the scattering ceremony. Once launched, the Journey Biodegradable Urn - Lily will float briefly on the water, sink, and break down naturally over time.
The Journey Biodegradable Urn - Lily is made of natural materials. No trees are cut down to produce this urn as the mulberry bark is harvested in a sustainable manner. The Journey Biodegradable Urn received a "Three Leaf" Green Burial Council rating. Included with this biodegradable urn is a GEO-code that can be used to Geo Tag the final resting place if desired.
